THE ORIGINS OF CLEMENTINE

The clementine tree was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century by Abbot Clément near Oran in Algeria. In fact, it is a cross between mandarin and bitter orange tree. Easy peeling and seedlessness made clementine prevail over mandarin.

HOW TO CHOOSE  CLEMENTINE

Green clementines can be as riped as other orange ones. Similarly, the thickness of the skin is not a criterion of choice (indeed, this depends on the variety). Check that the bark of the clementines adheres well to their flesh.
